In 2023, Blancpain × Swatch was born as a tribute to Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms. At the time of release, five different models were announced, attracting significant attention.
The watch uses a new bio-ceramic material, which is composed of two-thirds ceramic mixed with castor oil and one-third castor oil. This innovative material combines ceramic and castor oil for enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal.
The movement features Swatch's "SISTEM51," which is assembled with only 51 parts and boasts approximately 90 hours of power reserve. Additionally, the adoption of Nivacron hairspring provides excellent anti-magnetic properties and high precision.
The blue case and blue dial create a light and refreshing design, giving a crisp impression. The skeleton case back features a vivid illustration of the Atlantic Ocean and Aomi-no-Umi-Ushi (Blue Sea Slug) printed digitally.
