| Product Description | This model is the "Katana," produced in 1996. It is a work that embodies Seiko's engraving techniques of that era. At that time, Seiko was in its second period of transformation, expressing unique Japanese beauty, and focused on beauty and inheritance by integrating advanced, unique Japanese jewelry techniques. With the belief that high-quality products cannot be made without maintaining high standards in both actions and aspirations, this jewelry watch, inspired by the silhouette of a Japanese sword and created with passion to incorporate Japanese beauty into its design, received extremely high acclaim. There are two types of Katana: the generally known Ref. GAKG027 with a list price of 38 million yen (excluding tax/at the time) and Ref. GAKG029 with a list price of 18 million yen (excluding tax/at the time). The crown, dial, and hands are also made of gold, and Ref. GAKG027 uses 486 diamonds, while Ref. GAKG029 uses 324 diamonds. The design of the sword's guard is "Arabesque/Wave Pattern," a pattern of grass swaying in the waves. |
