This necklace features a central stone measuring 14mm, with gradation sizes as small as 11mm. It is made of natural jadeite (jade) with a total length of approximately 62 centimeters. The findings are gold-colored on a silver base. A certification from the Central Gem Laboratory is included.
Analysis using FT-IR (infrared spectroscopic analysis) revealed the presence of colorless, transparent resin impregnation. Since the jadeite is natural and the resin is colorless, the certification from the Central Gem Laboratory confirms that this necklace is of natural green color.
Among jadeite necklaces generally sold, many that do not have FT-IR test results are often treated with colored resin to enhance their green hue. However, this necklace contains only colorless resin, so it retains its original green color. To compare with other products, all 50 necklaces were intentionally subjected to certification. The certificates were issued not only domestically but also in China, allowing for comparison.
The reason for this is that I have heard that jadeite impregnated with colorless resin "has no value." This necklace was purchased in Hong Kong. The certification issued there confirmed that the jade is natural and uncolored, although it has undergone treatment. Interestingly, in Hong Kong and mainland China, the emphasis is placed more on the size of the jade itself—highlighting the large 14mm center stone and the 11mm smaller stones—rather than on the treatment process, which was a surprise.
