Jade Pendant Using K18 Rounded Bail
This piece was purchased approximately 65 years ago by our shop owner at the Guangzhou Trade Fair in China. It features the characteristic green part of jade and has a uniquely carved appearance that gives it a distinctive atmosphere.
The motif is inspired by the Peaches of Immortality from the "Journey to the West," which bloom once every 9,000 years in the heavenly realm. Eating these peaches grants "immortality." The pendant depicts Sun Wukong, who is said to have eaten such a peach.
Such carvings are historically notable; there is footage of Jennifer Jones using a similar carved jade as a charm on a gold necklace in the film "Love Story." How about incorporating this vintage piece into a modern style?

According to the oral appraisal by Noble Laboratory Inc., the jade is confirmed to be natural jadeite, verified by infrared spectroscopy, with no resin impregnation detected.
